Draw Your Life

Get people introduced to each other in a different, visual and engaging way by asking everyone to draw their life. Depending on the context you can make it more or less open-ended. Is it the current life situation or the life history? Is it professionally, personally or both? Or is it up to the participant to chose what he or she wants to focus on? If someone is convinced that they can’t draw, just ask them to draw their life as a curve with ups and downs.

Together two and two everyone tells about their life, using their drawing for visual support. To make it a little more interesting you can ask participants to swap drawings. Now, for the next person they meet, they have to tell about someone else’s life using someone else’s drawing. Then exchange again. At some point it is likely that a participant will get to hear her own story retold be someone else.
