Module 9 — Example notebook MODULE 10 — FINAL SUMMARY 14 replies on “Module 9 — Example notebook” I notice that you only write on one side of each notebook page. Is this for clarity in the videos, or is this part of your regular practice? Thank you. I sincerely loved both video series that you shared. ~William I only write on one side because the markers I use either bleed through or at least leave a shadow on the other side. But check out the Linographer Notebook. It is still in beta but it has paper that doesn’t bleed through. I am testing one myself. Thanks. I’ll check that out. ~w Yes, I saw that too. I’m not sure which would annoy me more the blank page, or the bleed through. I recognize the thinner pens you use as I have some myself. What is the brand of the medium marker, the yellow one, and the thicker black marker? I’m a big fan of fountain pens, but both they and the sharpie markers can, and do bleed through several pages. Suggestions? Thank you for your time. In joy, ~William The orange and thick black are from Neuland. Bleed is all about the combination of paper and ink. Some inks will bleed through more than others. Some paper stock will bleed with different inks. So there is no clear answer. I have found a good combination in Leuchtturm and Moleskine notebooks paired with Prismacolor and Sharpies. If you know which pens you like I would just shop for notebooks that have paper stock that goes well with that. Books for water color typically has very thick paper that won’t bleed through. But they have fewer pages and feel rather decadent because the pages are so thick. i just tried the PaperMate Flair Ultra Fine pen – it has a nice felt tip BUT isn’t so heavy that it bleeds through reasonable paper. So far am enjoying the feel of it too. Thank you for your kindness, wisdom and quick response. Your videos have proved to be enormously helpful. Again, thank you. ~w Hi, I loved these short modules. They are short and very easy to follow through. I love doodle with my notes and I found your notes very helpful. I make little journals and will be using some of the ideas you have shared. http://royalbano.blogspot.com/2016/01/think-tank-journals-2016.html once again, thanks for sharing 🙂 If you ever visit Fiji let me know. Would love to catch up over tea 😀 Thank you. Hi Where can I buy your note book and stationary? It depends on where you live. The moleskine notebooks are sold all over the world. The Prismacolor pens are not so common outside US. The Neuland markers can be ordered from Germany. First of all I want to say wonderful blog! I had a quick question in which I’d like to ask if you don’t mind. I was curious to find out how you center yourself and clear your head before writing. I’ve had difficulty clearing my mind in getting my ideas out there. I truly do take pleasure in writing but it just seems like the first 10 to 15 minutes are usually wasted just trying to figure out how to begin. Any recommendations or hints? Thanks! Thank you for asking and sorry for the late reply. I think 15 minutes is a pretty good time to figure that out. I feel like I often spend much more time figuring out where to begin. Perhaps don’t think about it as waste? Leave a Reply to january Cancel replyYour email address will not be published.
